Industry Insights Shared at BASPA Workshop

Nearly 20 local writers and inspiring authors attended BASPA's first workshop, "Publishing Industry Insights," held at the Greater Plymouth Community Center in November. 

Industry expert, Jess Taylor, shared in-depth knowledge about book publishing, including information on various publishing avenues, the pros and cons in each category, publishing pitfalls to avoid, and how to write query letters. Marketing tips based on specific genres, as well as a lively question and and answer session, followed the two-hour presentation. 

"What a great opportunity to learn more about the publishing industry while networking with like-minded individuals who share a love for writing and books," stated Darlene Versak. "It was invaluable."
