When Lydia Cohn was a little girl, her mother wrote stories in verse for her and her siblings. Lydia kept some of those stories for nearly six decades, often dreaming of one day getting her mother’s work published. Early in 2019, Lydia’s daughter, Jessica, came to her with the idea to posthumously publish some of those stories into children’s books.

Joan C. Yingling (1930 – 2008), recipient of two literary awards, was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. She was married to Ed Yingling, another native of Philadelphia, and together they had 7 children. Places they lived include: Glenolden, PA, Merion Station, PA, West Chester, PA, and Audubon, PA.

Joan was a spirited woman who enjoyed nothing more than getting together with family and friends. She taught herself how to cook, bake, sew, knit, and crochet among other things. She was an avid reader, loved doing crossword puzzles, and was a huge fan of the Philadelphia Eagles.
